Abstract
Dendritic processing multiplies the computational power of a single neuron
by enabling the processing of inputs in a spatio-temporally differentiated
manner. Recently, the development of new and refined optical, electrophysio
logical and molecular-biological techniques has led to new insights into de
ndritic function and revealed an astonishing plethora of computational mech
anisms.
