Abstract
There is considerable interest in the possibility that stimulus-induced osc illations in cytosolic free calcium encode information that is used to spec ify the outcome of the final response in calcium-based signalling pathways in plants. Recent results provide conclusive evidence that plant cells can decipher complex calcium signatures.
