Abstract
The earlier deduced equation of soil loss upon snow melting was verified by the results of field tests. The values of exponent and constant were obtai ned in the exponential dependence between the erosion intensity and the squ ared ratio of the eroding bottom velocity to the bottom flow velocity upon the flow velocities higher and lower than the eroding velocity. The constan t in this equation is shown to depend on the mean daily air temperature.
