Abstract
Cordyceps sobolifera is one of the earliest species reported in the genus a nd occurs on Cicada nymphs. There has been no direct evidence to connect it s teleomorph to an anamorph, although many researchers have studied putativ e anamorphs in culture. In this study, the teleomorphanamorph connection of C. sobolifera collected from Sichuan, China, is established based on seque nce analysis of the Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) regions of ribosomal DNA. The anamorph is described here as Beauveria sobolifera sp. nov.
