Abstract
The synthesis of a Ru(II) complex incorporating the 3,3 ' -bipyrazole (bpyz ) ligand is reported. Deprotonation of the ligand leads to shifts in both t he metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) band (80 nm) and the Ru-III/II ox idation couple (> 750 mV) of the complex.
