The Darcy-Forchheimer mixed convection from a vertical flat plate embedded
in a fluid-saturated porous medium under the coupled effects of thermal and
mass diffusion is analyzed on the basis of boundary-layer approximations.
Similarity solutions are obtained for the case of constant surface temperat
ure and concentration. Numerical results are presented for the distribution
of velocity, temperature and concentration profiles within the boundary la
yer. Representative heat and mass transfer rates in terms of Nusselt and Sh
erwood numbers for various governing parameters are presented and discussed
.
