The viscosity of a low-dielectric glass composite containing a low-softenin
g-point borosilicate glass and a high-softening-point high silica glass as
a function of porosity has been measured by an isothermal beam-bending tech
nique using a commercial thermal mechanical analyzer. Results reveal that t
he apparent viscosity of the glass composite decreases with increasing poro
sity for porosity in the range of 0-40 vol%,.
