Av. Gurin et al., NO SYNTHETASE-CONTAINING NEURONS IN THE C ENTRAL-NERVOUS-SYSTEM OF FROG, RANA-RIDIBUNDA, Doklady Akademii nauk BSSR, 38(5), 1994, pp. 72-74
The paper presents comparative data related to distribution and locali
sation of NO synthase (NOS)-containing neurones in the amphibian CNS.
It was found that the frog brain contains NOS-positive neurones in the
forebrain, central part of the lobus opticus and medulla oblongata. T
he results suggest that NO is involved, as neuronal messenger, in inte
rcellular communication in various regions of the frog brain.
