Abstract
[(H3O)(C14H20O5)(2)][Me2NH2](2)[PMo12O40]. 2C(14)H(20)O(5) 1 was synthesize d from benzo-15crown-5 and H(3)PMo(12)O(40 .)24H(2)O in N,N ' -dimethylform amide for the first time. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 18.583(4), b = 25.510(5), c = 19.904(4) Angstrom, beta = 94.66(3) degrees D-c = 2.124 mg/m(3) for Z = 4. Refinement based on 7358 observed re flections led to a R1(wR2) = 0.0378(0.0761). The complex cation, [(H3O)(C14 H20O5)(2)](+), exhibits a sandwich structure by hydrogen-bonding in the mea n distance of 2.955 Angstrom. The anion, PMo12O403-, is a alpha -Keggin str ucture.
