Abstract
The paper present the results of magnetotelluric sounding in the north ern part of Belarus. The Verchnedvinsk graben is distinguished within the Kaunas-Polotsk deep fault zone and is the western segment of the C entral Russian aulacogen. It was found to show the less tectonic activ ity and smaller subsidence amplitude as compared to the other aulacoge n structures.
