Magnetic excitation of the heavy-fermion compound Ce7Ni3 has been studied b
y inelastic neutron scattering technique in antiferromagnetic, non-Fermi-li
quid (NFL) and Fermi liquid (FL) states under various pressures. The excita
tion spectra observed below and above the critical pressure for the magneti
c ordering show a characteristic feature of spin fluctuations expected for
the heavy-fermion material around magnetic instability. (C) 2001 Elsevier S
