In this work, we propose some time transformations that can be used to obta
in the very long-time relaxation from a set of experimental data in a limit
ed time window when the relaxation follows logarithmic or quasi-logarithmic
time dependence. This method allows obtaining an estimation of the time ev
olution in systems with very slow dynamics not available in an experimental
measurement. giving a new insight to the relaxation in slow systems. We ha
ve applied the method to a set of relaxations of an YBaCuO superconductor.
We found that the first five relaxations overlap perfectly, and we also saw
the huge increase of the scale of times (such times are yet predicted in t
he early works in 1962). A slight deviation from the pure logarithmic relax
ation has been found. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
