Abstract
Appearance of the field-induced long-range ordering was observed directly b y a proton NMR measurement in Haldane gap system, Ni(C5H14N2)(2)N-3(PF6) (N DMAP). A sudden splitting of the spectrum due to the appearance of the tran sverse staggered moment was observed just below T-N. The transverse stagger ed moment is estimated as 1.1 mu (B) in the external field of 10.9 T parall el to the ab-plane. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
