Abstract
We report on extensive inelastic neutron scattering on paramagnetic chromiu m to determine the spin dynamics above T-N = 311 K. The low energy fluctuat ions are found to be truly incommensurate and can be well described by the phenomenological Sato-Maki response function. The energy scale of the respo nse increases roughly linearly with temperature up to at least T = 400 K. ( C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
