Abstract
Adsorption of zinc and cadmium ions on Brazilian peat was investigated. The study was carried out in batch experiments using Zn-65 and Cd-115 as radio tracers. Adsorption isotherms were determined at pH 4.5 at 20 degreesC and Langmuir equation was fitted to the results with a correlation coefficient 0.99.
