Abstract
SrFe12O19 fine particles were synthesized by the sol-gel method and heat tr eatment was carried out in oxygen-controlled atmosphere. SrFe12O19 hexaferr ite was obtained at 250 degreesC. The effect of the SrCO3 phase hindering t he synthesis of the hexaferrite in air atmosphere at lower temperatures is analyzed. The samples were studied by infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffr action. The morphology of the samples was analyzed by transmission electron microscope (TEM).
