Species of microfungi were isolated from both the north facing slope (NFS)
and the south facing slope (SFS) of Evolution Canyon, Mount Carmel Israel T
hey were examined for growth rates before and after exposure to 10(6) rads
of cobalt 60 irradiation. Above 106 rads all growth ceased after 1 day foll
owing exposure.
