Abstract
Novel oligonucleotide analogs that bear phosphodiester and bioreversible S- pivaloyl 2-mercaptoethyl (SPME) phosphate triester internucleosidic linkage s are described. Their synthesis employs a novel methodology of oligonucleo tide deprotection under mild, non-aqueous conditions.
