Abstract
Racemic trans-6-chloro-9-[2-(hydroxymethyl)cyclopentyl]purine was resolved using HPLC with a chiral column. The absolute configurations of the enantio mers were determined by NMR studies of their (R)- and (S)-methoxyphenylacet ates.
