Abstract
Some unusual features of the low-temperature electrochemical synthesis of diamond-like carbon are described. It is shown that the electroche mical synthesis of carbon is catalyzed by transition metals, and the f ormation of a film on the electrode is preceded by the formation of a colloidal solution and a carbon gel.
