Abstract
The spin dynamics of the metallic A-type antiferromagnetic manganites is st udied. An effective nearest-neighbor Heisenberg spin-wave dispersion is der ived from the double-exchange model taking into account the superexchange i nteraction between the core spins. The result of inelastic neutron-scatteri ng experiment on Nd0.45Sr0.55MnO3 is qualitatively reproduced. Comparing th eory with experimental data, two main parameters of the model-nearest-neigh bor electron-transfer amplitude and superexchange coupling between the core spins-are estimated.
