Experimental search for H-5 using a secondary beam of He-6 has been perform
ed. The transfer reaction H-1 (He-6, He-2)H-5 was studied by detecting two
proton, emitted from the decay of He-2. A peak consistent with a H-5 resona
nce at 1.7 +/-0.3 MeV above the n + n + t threshold was observed, with a wi
dth of 1.9 +/-0.4 MeV. The angular distribution of the H-1(He-6, He-2)H-5 r
eaction was measured as well as the energy correlation of the two protons.
