Changes in the nanosecond relaxation times of interacting polymer chains du
ring the formation of poly(methacrylic acid)-poly(methyl methacrylate) ster
eopolycomplexes were studied by polarized luminescence. When macromolecules
possessing the elements of internal structure are involved in the formatio
n of a stereopolycomplex, competitive interactions between stereoisomeric m
olecules capable of destroying this structure play the determining role.
