Abstract
I discuss the semiclassical approximation for the Wheeler-DeWitt equat ion when applied to the CGHS model and spherically symmetric gravity. Special attention is devoted to the issues of Hawking radiation, decoh erence of semiclassical states, and black hole entropy.
