Abstract
Stationary spherically symmetric gravity is equivalent to a SL(2,IR)/S O(2) nonlinear coset sigma model coupled to a gravitational remnant. C lassically there are stationary solutions besides the static Schwarzsc hild metric labeled by the Schwarzschild mass m and the Taub-NUT charg e l. Imposing the SL(2,IR) symmetry at the quantum level the Wheeler-D eWitt equation is related to the Casimir operator of the coset which m akes the system amenable to exact quantization.
