Abstract
The rate constant of hydrogen transfer by dibutyl 4,7,10-trioxaundecylstann ane to primary alkyl radicals was determined at different temperatures by t he study of the free radical reduction of 6-bromo-1-hexene by this stannane . This work shows that this compound is an excellent substitute to tri-n-bu tyltinhydride. (C) 2001 Academie des sciences / Editions scientifiques et m edicales Elsevier SAS.
