Abstract
A general resultant stress plasticity algorithm called global plasticity, b ased on Ilyushin's criterion, is proposed for shell elements. The resultant stress calculation algorithm is developed for an elastoplastic, orthotropi c. material. The proposed algorithm is then implemented and validated in th e RADIOSS explicit program for metal forming problems. (C) 2001 Elsevier Sc ience Ltd. All rights reserved.
