A united scheme for the kinetics of electrochemical nucleation and the grow
th of a new phase is presented. The peculiarities of ion-transfer kinetics
during electrochemical phase formation are analysed. The influence of the e
xchange current density at the electrolyte/cluster of the new phase interfa
ce on the nucleation rate, the nucleation induction time and the growth rat
