Abstract
Ultrasonic testing has been a necessary tool for nondestructive characteris
ation of fused cast refractories. In this paper some further studies are pr
esented involving the testing of sample shrinkage cavities, testing of mono
lithic shrinkage cavities and the determination of the residual thickness o
f refractories.
