Abstract
CANEGROWERS is a membership organisation supported by over 94% of Queenslan
d's 6500 cane farmers. Around 95% of Australia's raw sugar output comes fro
m Queensland, of which 85% is exported. This paper describes the role and t
he structure of CANEGROWERS and its links with the research establishments
in the country and its affiliation with international bodies.
