Abstract
The polyphenol derivatives possess many biological and pharmacological properties. However, the main therapeutical uses are limited to hepat oprotective and vasculoprotective activities of flavonoids (sensu larg o). This review will summarize some of the important and recently upda ted reports of in vitro and in vivo biological assays to show antioxid ative, antihypertensive, antiphlogistic, antiviral, potent antitumoral and chimiopreventive activities.
