Abstract
Hall effect measurements of pyrolytic Langmuir-Blodgett films based on a biphenyl-type polyimide have been done using a double frequency met hod. The Hall coefficient had a negative sign over the measuring tempe rature range; an electron density of 10(21) cm(-3) and a Hall mobility of around 0.5 cm(2) (Vs)(-1) could be estimated on the assumption of a one-carrier conduction. The Hall mobility is characterized by a sing le activated process with 5.4 meV.
