Abstract
The projection decomposition method (PDM) is invoiced to extend the ap plication area of the spectral collocation method to elliptic problems in domains compounded of rectangles. Theoretical and numerical result s are presented demonstrating the high accuracy of the resulting metho d as well as its computational efficiency.
