The GAMMA10 tandem mirror contains neutral beam injectors at the anchor mir
ror cells to increase the number of high-energy ions there for magnetohydro
dynamic stability. We calculate the population of high-energy ions by using
the bounce-averaged Fokker-Planck code for various background neutral dens
ities and electron temperatures. We compare the simulation results with res
ults of a point model and make clear the validity of the point model.
