Abstract
At BESSY II the first quasi-periodic hybrid type undulator has been install ed. The magnetic structure has been optimized for higher order suppression and simultaneously for high flux in the (shifted) 5th harmonic to provide a n useful energy range between 20 and 500 eV. At smallest gap of 15 mm the d evice operates as a wiggler with a K-value of 16. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
