Abstract
A detailed comparison of calculated and measured rocking curves for a water -cooled crystal and for a liquid nitrogen-cooled crystal is presented. This report is a part of an extensive model study that comprised finite element analysis, diffraction calculations based on the theory of Takagi-Taupin us ing a computer code specially developed for this purpose and finally a comp arison with experiments. Excellent agreement has been obtained both for low (similar to1 W/mm(2)) and high (similar to 170 W/mm(2)) power density. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
