Ha. Padmore et al., A double crystal monochromator using tangentially bent crystals in combination with toroidal mirror focusing, NUCL INST A, 467, 2001, pp. 650-653
The trend in beamline design has been to systems of greater complexity and
cost, albeit with very large increases in performance. Here we present a de
sign that attempts to simplify the system to a minimum, while preserving ex
tremely high performance. This is achieved through placement of all optics
close to the source inside the shield wall, the use of a tangentially bent
2 crystal monochromator, and a 1:1 focusing toroidal mirror. (C) 2001 Elsev
