Abstract
A XAFS beamline that uses a pair of bent conical mirrors for collimation an d focusing has been constructed. A double crystal monochromator is placed b etween the two mirrors and a pair of higher order elimination mirrors is pl aced after the focusing mirror. Owing to the collimation of white X-rays, b oth high energy resolution and high flux is realized at a time even using X -rays from a bending magnet. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
