Abstract
The influence of electric field on the hydrogenic impurity in semiconductor spherical Quantum Dots (QD) is investigated by using the variational metho d. Ground state binding energy and the polarisability investigated. It is f ound that the binding energy of the ground state and the polarisability are very sensitive to the quantum dot size effects.
