Abstract
A novel detector capable of measuring the energy of pulsed laser radia tion coupled into an optical fiber and the acoustic signals induced by interaction between this radiation and matter is described. Results o f a study of the capabilities of this optoacoustic detector are presen ted. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
