This paper presents some aspects regarding the ion exchange recovery-treatm
ent of used galvanic waters resulting from nickel plated parts washing, usi
ng, a strongly acid ion exchanger of Purolite C 150 type. The experimental
part deals with the working, conditions and the resin characteristics, it f
acilitated rendering evident the influence upon the resin maximum exchange
capacity of the following factors: flow rate, concentration, temperature an
d pH of the processed solution. Based on the experimental data thus got, we
proposed a simplified technological variant for the recovery-treatment of
the galvanic washing waters, by using only one cationic step.
