Online Evaluation of Therapy Monitoring Guidelines - 27(th) Annual Mee ting of the German Rheumatological Society in Bamberg, 1996: In recent years, the ''Diagnosis and therapy guidelines'' project group of the rheumatology centres affiliated with the German Rheumatological Societ y (DGRh) developed therapy monitoring guidelines for physicians (espec ially general practitioners, internal specialists and orthopaedic surg eons) and patients. In view of known deficits, the aims of the project were improved patient care and a reduction in side effects and in DMA RD therapy terminations. Online evaluation took place during the 27 th National Congress of the DGRh in Bamberg to record the level of knowl edge of and familiarity with the guidelines as well as their acceptanc e and content. The results indicate that knowledge of the guidelines i s unsatisfactory; further measures are essential for in-depth implemen tation.
