Abstract
The regularities of cathodic reduction of metal cations (Pb2+, Cd2+) o n Se-electrodes in acidic water solutions are investigated. Underpoten tial deposition of metal atoms on Se-surface is found. Cathodic reduct ion of Se(IV) and metal cations at E > E(Me)n+/O-Me formation of appro priate selenides. This formation is due to the interaction between sel enium atoms, electrodeposited overpotential, and underpotential deposi ted metal atoms.
