Abstract
The title compound, Ca2NaF(SiO4), can be regarded as the sodium-rich e nd member of a series of solid-solution compounds related to tricalciu m silicate (Ca3SiO5 or Ca2SiO4.CaO). The chemical formula of the serie s may be represented as Ca2SiO4.(CaO)(1-x).(NaF)(x) and the title comp ound has x close to 1. The structure of the title compound is closely related to that of tricalcium silicate and other related compounds.
