Abstract
The N-(2-pyridinium)urea cation of the title compound, C6H8N3O+. ClO4- , is planar within 0.022 (2) Angstrom and adopts an s-cis-s-cis confor mation with respect to the imino C-N bonds. The structure consists of centrosymmetric dimers of cations ordered in layers parallel to the (( 1) over bar 03) plane, and hydrogen-bonded anions.
