Abstract
Active modelocking at 10 GHz of a 10 mm-long fibre Fabry-Perot laser in a r ing cavity is demonstrated. Very stable pulse trains without supermode nois e were obtained. The pulsewidth was similar to 10ps, which could be shorten ed to 11.6ps by insertion of highly-nonlinear fibre.
