Abstract
Effect of exchange-bias coupling between ferromagnetic (FM) layer and antif erromagnetic (AFM) underlayer on the H-field and thermal reversal propertie s was studied analytically by minimizing the free energy E(alpha, beta) of the bilayer system. Correlation between the effective-thermal-stability-fac tor (KuV*/k(B)T)(eff), coercivity H-C and parameters of the bilayer system is presented. Emphasis is on analyzing the energy-barrier E-B influence upo n the moment reversal properties.
