The evolution of the microstructure and magnetic properties for the (Fe86-x
Cox)Zr6B8 alloys (x = 0 and 43) in the amorphous and nanocrystalline state
are investigated. Replacement of 43 at % Fe by Co atoms in the Fe86Zr6B8 al
loy leads to a decrease in the primary and secondary crystallization temper
atures. Moreover, in the nanocrystalline Fe86Zr6B8 alloy besides the amorph
ous matrix and crystalline phase, the interfacial layer may be distinguishe
d. After annealing of the Fe86Zr6B8 alloy at 873 K for 300 s, magnetic hard
ening was observed.
