Structural and magnetic properties of the Pr2FC6.8Co10.2-xMx. intermetallic
compounds with M =Si, Ga and V, and x = 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 have been
investigated. Substitution of M for Co leads to a decrease of the saturati
on magnetization, Curie temperature, and anisotropy field. It is noteworthy
that the V substitution has different influence on the magnetic properties
of the Pr2Fe6.8Co10.2 compounds from the Si and Ga substitutions. The spin
-reorientation temperature decreases with increasing M for M=Si and Ga. Thi
s phenomena disappeared when M=V, and the saturation magnetization of the V
substituted compounds decreased much faster than those of the Si and Ga su
bstituted compounds.
