Abstract
In this paper, the intrinsic magnetic properties, including the Curie tempe rature T-c and the saturation magnetization sigma (s), and the electrochemi cal properties such as the maximum discharge capacity C-max the capacity de cay rate R at 50 mA g(-1) discharge current density, the high rate discharg eability HRD of La0.9Sm0.1Ni2.0Co3.0 electrode alloy, have been investigate d systematically. The results show that after being magnetized, the C-max o f the electrode increases, the R reduces and the HRD is improved. The excha nge current density I-0 and the limiting current density I-L of the electro de alloy both increase after the magnetization treatment as calculated from the linear polarization and the anodic polarization of the alloy.
